Our vacancies
Host4Biz is a Polish hosting provider. Our servers are our own and stand in our own racks: two sites in Warsaw, one in Zurich. We have been in business since 2010 and support customers in four languages.
Our open roles are below. Send your CV to [email protected], naming the role and your salary expectations.
Linux administrator
Full time, in the Warsaw office.
What the job involves
- Keeping the network, the servers and the services running without interruption;
- Automating routine work with scripts;
- Solving customers’ technical problems and answering in the ticket system;
- Growing the company’s network and services, bringing in new software and hardware.
What we ask for
- A year or more of administering Linux or FreeBSD;
- Experience configuring WWW, DNS, email and FTP, and an understanding of how they work;
- An understanding of how data networks are built;
- Basic HTML, PHP and MySQL;
- Fluent written Russian, Ukrainian or Polish;
- A willingness to work things out and put them to use.
Nice to have
- Virtualisation and containers: KVM, Proxmox, Docker;
- A hosting control panel — ours is Plesk — and the HostBill billing system;
- Experience with high-load web systems;
- An understanding of how BGP and OSPF work;
- Scripting: Bash, Python, Perl, PHP;
- English.
What we offer
- A paid probation period, then full-time work from 10 to 18 in the Warsaw office;
- Competitive pay;
- Support in learning and room to grow professionally;
- Free hosting for your own projects;
- A lifetime reward for the customers you bring in.
IT sales manager
Active sales, working remotely.
What the job involves
- Selling hosting services by any means available — forums, blogs, advertising platforms — except spam of any kind;
- Talking to existing customers and sorting out their questions: tickets, email, phone;
- Following what happens in the industry and finding new places to sell;
- Advising the people who are choosing a service.
What we ask for
- A stable internet connection and a phone;
- The ability and the wish to work towards a result;
- An understanding of hosting: how a VPS differs from shared hosting, and why a website needs an SSL certificate;
- Fluent Russian, Ukrainian or Polish, written and spoken;
- The ability to understand what a customer needs and to offer a solution that fits;
- The ability to find things online quickly.
Nice to have
- Experience in IT sales;
- English;
- A customer base of your own.
What we offer
- A flexible schedule, five days a week;
- A base rate plus a percentage of everything your customers spend on services;
- Payment on time;
- A team where there is always someone to ask;
- Room to grow professionally.
The probation period is one month. Part-time cooperation is also possible: then there is no base rate, only the percentage.
