About Host4Biz

Host4Biz is a Polish hosting provider. The servers are ours and they sit in our own racks: two sites in Warsaw, one in Zurich. We register .pl and .eu domains ourselves, straight with the registries.

  • Running since 2010
  • Three data centers in two countries
  • Our own servers, not rented ones
  • Registrar for .pl, straight with NASK
  • EURid-accredited registrar for .eu
  • Support in four languages

Company history

Where we started, how we ended up in Poland, and what we run today.

2010

Started in Ukraine

The company was founded in Ukraine. We began with one server and a small team of engineers.

2015

Move to Poland

We moved the company and our clients to European data centers. From that year the services come from the Polish Host4Biz sp. z o.o., the same company that issues your invoices today.

TODAY

Three sites and registrar status

Two sites in Warsaw with different operators, one in Zurich, accreditations from NASK and EURid, and thousands of clients around the world.

Where our hardware sits

What sits behind the codes PL-1, PL-2 and CH-1: operators, countries and certificates.

PL-1 · Warsaw

Atman WAW-1 · Poland

A telecoms campus that several carriers come into. Part of our Polish infrastructure lives here.

ISO 27001, PCI DSS and DCOS-4.

More about PL-1 →

PL-2 · Warsaw

NASK S.A. · Poland

The second Warsaw site sits in another part of the city and has its own power feeds. Our redundant fibre links it to PL-1.

ANSI/TIA-942-B Rated-3: both the design and the build are certified.

More about PL-2 →

CH-1 · Zurich

Templus ZRH01 · Switzerland

The Swiss site for Linux VPS. People pick it when the data has to sit outside the European Union, or when they want a spare site in another country.

Certified Tier III, ISO 27001 and ISO 14001.

More about CH-1 →

Engineering-wise the three sites are on a par: redundant power and cooling, gas suppression, security around the clock. Only the certificates differ: Tier III from the Uptime Institute belongs to Zurich, while the Warsaw sites were audited against other standards.

Who is responsible for what

Power, cooling, fire suppression and physical access are the data center's job. The servers, their configuration and the network are ours.

An official domain registrar

For .pl and .eu we work with the registries directly. Other extensions go through partners.

NASK partner

The national .pl zone is run by NASK, a Polish state research institute. We are its partner and register domains straight with it.

EURid accreditation

The .eu zone is run by EURid, appointed by the European Commission. We hold its accreditation, so .eu goes without intermediaries too.

NASK · .pl EURid · .eu 50+ extensions through partners

Questions about the company

What people ask when choosing a provider.

Where are your servers physically located?

The servers sit in our own racks at three sites: PL-1 (Atman) and PL-2 (NASK) in Warsaw, and CH-1 (Templus) in Zurich. The hardware is ours, and we maintain it ourselves.

Are you a domain registrar or a reseller?

For .pl and .eu we are the registrar: a NASK partner, accredited by EURid, so domains in those zones go straight into the registry. Other zones we register through partners.

How do Warsaw and Zurich differ when choosing a location?

Warsaw is the main site: it holds most of our capacity and the best connectivity for Europe-facing projects. Zurich is picked when the data has to sit in Switzerland, outside the EU. Engineering-wise the sites are on a par; only the certificates differ: PL-1 holds DCOS-4, PL-2 is certified to ANSI/TIA-942-B Rated-3, and CH-1 holds Tier III from the Uptime Institute.

Will we get documents for accounting?

Yes. As soon as a payment is credited, a European-format invoice appears in the Client Area. Download it at any time from the payment history, and there is no need to ask for documents separately.

Can a company from outside the EU work with you?

Yes. Host4Biz is a Polish company, and companies outside the EU get their invoices at a zero VAT rate. Register the account to the company and enter its details: invoices go to the legal entity, and the invoice document appears as soon as the payment lands. Pay by transfer or by card; with a transfer, always quote the invoice number, or the payment will not be credited on its own.

How old is the company and where is it registered?

Host4Biz has run since 2010: we started in Ukraine and moved the company to Poland in 2015. Today it is Host4Biz sp. z o.o. with an office in Warsaw; the full details (EU VAT, NIP, KRS and REGON) are on the contacts page.
