Chrome will show extra warnings about insecure HTTP

Google warns that the number of situations in which an insecure connection message is shown is about to grow.
From October 2017, filling in absolutely any data form on a site that still runs on HTTP will bring up a warning that the connection is not secure. The message will also appear when a site using HTTP is opened in incognito mode.
Google’s figures show that the measures taken in Chrome 56 to make users safer cut visits to sites on the HTTP protocol by 23%.
This mostly concerns sites that have a password entry form.
Google also plans to warn users who open sites that do not use the HTTPS protocol.
We advise every owner of a site still running on HTTP to install an SSL certificate on it. That will make your sites safer and raise users’ trust in them.
On our site you can read everything you need to know about SSL certificates, find out how to pick the right certificate for your site and buy it.
