Which VPS plan should you choose?

The plans differ only in how much they give you: virtualization, disks and access are the same in all of them.

NVME20-1 and NVME20-2

A small site, a test environment, monitoring, or a project that needs root access without much headroom.

NVME20-3

Enough for WordPress, an online shop, a CRM, an API, several sites or a backend project with a steady load.

NVME20-4 and NVME20-5

Databases, several active projects, production services, containers and anything that needs headroom in CPU, RAM and disk.

What Linux VPS is good for

Three cases where ordinary hosting is no longer enough.

Workshop owner works at a laptop by a workbench

Sites, shops and WordPress

Your own web server instead of a shared one: the PHP version you need, database and cache settings tuned to the project, and headroom for a sale or a spike in traffic.

Warehouse employee works at a laptop by shelving

CRM, APIs and production services

A company’s internal services and applications on a server inside the EU: root access, your own ports and background jobs, a predictable load.

Developer works at a laptop

Databases, backups and test environments

A separate database, a nightly copy of a neighboring project, monitoring, or a machine where updates are checked before they reach the live server.

Add-ons

You can add resources to any plan once the base configuration stops being enough.

+1 CPU core

4 usd / mo

+1 GB of memory

2 usd / mo

+10 GB of storage

2 usd / mo

+1 IPv4 address

4 usd / mo

Why VPS in Poland

Warsaw is our main location: our own hardware stands here and our own links meet here.

Warsaw, Poland

A location inside the EU with short routes to Central and Eastern Europe.

NVMe, KVM and root

Fast disks, isolated virtualization and full administrative access to the server.

Our own hardware

The Supermicro servers with ECC memory are our own. We know the configuration of every node and keep spare capacity on it.

Our own network

The links are ours too: a 100 Gbps network runs between the cabinets.

Flexible configuration

Pick a Linux template, mount an ISO, add CPU, RAM, disk or IP addresses.

Discounts up to 30%

The longer the billing period, the lower the monthly price of the server.

Where the Warsaw servers stand

The virtual servers run on our own hardware in two Warsaw data centers: PL-1 on the campus of the operator Atman and PL-2 at NASK. We decide which of them a given machine goes to, and our own fibre links the two.

  • PL-1: DCOS-4, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS held by the site operator
  • PL-2: ANSI/TIA-942-B Rated-3, four independent server chambers
  • Enterprise-class NVMe disks
  • Duplicated links to every cabinet and switches in pairs

Common questions about Linux VPS

What people ask before their first order.

What is VPS?

VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a virtual server with isolated CPU, RAM and disk resources. It works like a separate server: you get root access, can install Linux, configure services, host websites, applications, databases and other projects.

What is the difference between VPS and VDS?

VPS and VDS usually describe the same service: a virtual server with allocated resources and administrative access. The difference is mostly terminology, not the technology itself. It is more important to compare virtualization type, resources, disks, location and support terms.

What is KVM VPS?

KVM VPS is a virtual server based on KVM hardware virtualization. It provides isolated CPU, RAM and NVMe disk resources, full root access and the ability to install the operating system you need. Host4Biz VPS plans use KVM virtualization.

When do you need VPS?

You need VPS when shared hosting is no longer enough: your site needs more resources, root access, custom software, a separate database, API, business application, or several projects on one server. VPS gives you more control and flexibility than shared hosting.

What can Linux VPS be used for?

Linux VPS is suitable for websites, online stores, WordPress, CRM systems, business applications, databases, APIs, backup, monitoring, and test environments. VPS is a good choice when shared hosting is no longer enough and you need root access with flexible server configuration.

How to choose a VPS server?

Choose a VPS by project load: a basic plan is enough for a small website, WordPress, online stores and CRM systems usually need more RAM and CPU, while multiple projects, APIs or databases require a plan with extra resources. NVMe disks, KVM virtualization, backup and server location are also important.

Shared hosting or VPS: what should I choose?

Shared hosting is suitable for simple websites where root access and custom server configuration are not required. Choose VPS if your project needs guaranteed resources, custom Linux settings, separate services, non-standard software or more performance.

VPS or dedicated server: what should I choose?

VPS is cheaper and more flexible than a dedicated server, so it suits websites, applications and medium-load projects. Choose a dedicated server when you need all resources of a physical machine, maximum isolation, custom hardware configuration or very high load.

Do I need Linux knowledge for VPS?

Linux knowledge is useful if you administer VPS yourself: it helps with installing and updating software, configuring services and securing the server. If you do not have enough experience, you can contact support or order server administration.

Can I install my own ISO on VPS?

Yes. You can attach your own ISO image to a Linux VPS and install the operating system or software environment you need. Ready-made templates for popular Linux distributions, including Ubuntu, Debian and AlmaLinux, are also available.

Is VPS backup included?

Yes. VPS plans include daily backups. A nightly backup can help restore data if files are deleted or damaged. For separate backup scenarios, you can also configure additional backups to backup hosting.

What is included in the VPS price?

The Linux VPS price includes KVM virtualization, NVMe disk, root access, VNC access (IP-KVM), the ability to attach your own ISO image, free daily backup, IPv6 addresses, a 100 Mbps port, and server location in Warsaw, Poland.

Can I upgrade CPU, RAM or disk on VPS?

Yes. You can add extra resources to a VPS plan: CPU cores, RAM, NVMe disk space, IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. This is useful when a project grows and the current configuration is no longer enough.

Can I move my website to VPS?

Yes. You can move a website to VPS yourself or with help from a specialist. Before migration, choose the right plan and prepare the Linux server, web server, database, and DNS. If you are not sure about the configuration, contact support and we will suggest a VPS for your project.

Where are Host4Biz VPS servers located?

Host4Biz Linux VPS servers are located in Warsaw, Poland. This location is suitable for projects that need good connectivity with Europe and nearby regions, as well as stable datacenter infrastructure.

Is Windows VPS available?

Yes. Host4Biz provides a separate Windows VPS service. It is suitable for Remote Desktop, Windows applications, trading, 1C and other tasks that require a Windows server. Plans and terms are available on the Windows VPS page.

Need something else?

Poland is not always the right answer. Here is where to look otherwise.

Just need a site, not a server?

Ordinary hosting is for a landing page, a company site or a small project where you do not want to administer Linux.
