Questions about server placement
Choosing a site, redundancy and certifications.
Can I choose a specific data center when I order?
The service you choose determines the country: Polish plans run in Warsaw and Swiss plans in Zurich. Host4Biz chooses the Warsaw site for VPS. If you need a physical server specifically in PL-1 or PL-2, agree the placement with support before ordering.
Can I use two sites for one project?
Yes. PL-1 and PL-2 are connected by Host4Biz redundant fibre; a customer’s servers can be joined in a private network across the sites. Zurich can be used for backup infrastructure in another country. Replication, backups and disaster recovery need a setup tailored to the project — support will help choose the service and placement.
What do data-center certifications mean?
Certifications cover different aspects of a site: Tier III and ANSI/TIA-942-B Rated-3 concern engineering infrastructure, DCOS-4 concerns operations, and ISO 27001 concerns information-security management. PL-1 also has PCI DSS. An operator’s certification does not replace the requirements of your application or the Host4Biz service terms.
Does the data-center location guarantee lower latency?
No. Latency depends not only on distance, but also on the route between the user and the server. If response time is important, contact support before ordering to find out how to test the connection to the required location.
Can I colocate my own equipment with Host4Biz?
We do not offer colocation. You can rent a VPS or dedicated server on Host4Biz equipment. Data centers maintain the buildings and engineering systems; for services and servers, contact us.
